Workshop: UPR Toolkit on Freedom of Religion or Belief - The Role of Parliamentarians




The International Panel of Parliamentarians for Freedom of Religion or Belief (IPPFoRB) UPR workshop is taking place in Accra, Ghana. The training is designed to equip Members of Parliament (MPs) with the necessary knowledge to utilize the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process to address issues related to Freedom of Religion or Belief (FoRB) across Africa.

Parliamentarians will learn about the UPR process, collaborate with key stakeholders, and engage in discussions on the challenges and opportunities of promoting FoRB. They will also have the chance to contribute valuable insights for adapting the IPPFoRB UPR toolkit to the African context. On the final day of the workshop, participants will develop action plans and set timelines for addressing FoRB issues in their respective countries.
